Ironflow Technologies adds another key piece to their team

We are excited to introduce Donald Richard, our new Project Manager to our team! Donald has joined the team in October and will fill a very important role for the company to coordinate the myriad of the project we will be undertaking for the upcoming launch and growth of PurelyHR, our new online suite of HR products. We took a few minutes to chat with Donald and unearth a few interesting things about him. Take a look!

Q: Hi Donald, First of all, welcome to the team! Let’s begin with a short version of your autobiography. Who is Donald Richard?

D: To start, my name is Donald Richard. I was born and raised in a small village called Saint-Louis de Kent, moved to Moncton in 1998 for college, where I got my diploma in Information System Administrator. I’ve been happily married for 14 years. I don’t have any kids, but I have a few nephews and nieces that we spoiled once in awhile. I’m more of an outdoor kind of guy, really like to go camping, do ATV, hunting, fishing anything to enjoy the nature.

Q: That’s great! Glad to hear we have another outdoor enthusiast joining our team. Before working at Ironflow Technologies, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

D: My first real job after high school, I was a lobster fisherman in which I really enjoyed, I’ve only done it for one season then decided to pursue other interest and went to college.

Q: What an exciting experience! What are some of your past experiences that will help you excel in your new project management role?

D: Before joining Ironflow, I’ve worked in a big corporation for 13 years in which I was highly involved in big projects, I had to create timelines, make sure I had enough resources to complete each task to meet those timelines and provide monthly reports to the stakeholders. This really helped me gain a lot of experience which will help me excel here at Ironflow.

Q: What are you most excited for in your new role as Project Manager?

D: The ability to pull a project together, align the resources, and manage it from start to finish (successfully) is very special. There are not many other jobs where you see everything from start to end.

Q: Last question, If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?

D:  A cell phone to stay in contact with my family, a lot of beverages, and of course my work laptop to make sure work gets done 🙂

Good answer Donald! Thank you for your time, we’re excited to have you join our team!
